Mon père m'offrit mon premier kart à l'âge de 13 ans. Je faisais mes débuts en Promo Junior deux ans plus tard en 2001, lors d'une course à Brignoles en Juillet qui se termina prématurément sur un serrage moteur. Nous décidions alors de passer en Rotax Max fin 2002 sur un châssis GMD. La première véritable année de compétition en 2003 fût riche en enseignements, pleine d'accrochages mais aussi de bons souvenirs comme le Kart Tour FFSA, opération de détection de jeunes talents effectué dans toute la France sur des milliers de participants, que j'ai terminé dans le top 10. En 2004 nous étions passé sur un châssis DcOne ce qui nous faisait immédiatement remonter dans la hiérarchie mais l'année fût assez brouillon, marquée par de nombreux accidents. 2005 fût bien meilleure avec de nombreux résultats aux avants postes en championnat de ligue mais beaucoup de malchance au niveau national. Je terminais l'année chez KartinPro sur un châssis Maranello et démarra également l'année 2006 avec eux, avant un passage en monoplace prématurée à la mi saison.
My father gave me my first go-kart at the age of 13. I made my debut in Promo Junior two years later in 2001, during a race in Brignoles in July which ended prematurely due to an engine failure. We then decided to switch to Rotax Max at the end of 2002 on a GMD chassis. The first real year of competition in 2003 was rich in lessons, full of collisions but also good memories like the Kart Tour FFSA, an operation to detect young talents carried out throughout France on thousands of participants, which I finished in the top 10. In 2004 we had switched to a DcOne chassis which immediately made us climb up the hierarchy but the year was still quite messy, marked by numerous accidents. 2005 was much better with many results at the forefront of the league championship but a lot of bad luck at the national level. I finished the year at KartinPro on a Maranello chassis and also started the year 2006 with them, before a premature switch to single-seaters mid-season.
